The Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union coffee producers are located in the Sidamo region in Southwestern Ethiopia. As one of the first producers to pilot the Fairtrade Climate Standard, 20,000 coffee farmers can improve their living conditions and income while building resilience to the effects of climate change. This coffee is grown alongside ensets or Ethiopian bananas, which help retain moisture in the soil and feeds the people.
